A background in computer science and design gave me an unusual starting point. I've always thought about products from both sides: how they should feel, and how they actually get built. Running a startup and working as a freelancer early on pushed that further. Design stopped being just craft and became business strategy, user adoption, and making the right call with limited resources.
Over the years that mindset carried into every project I worked on. What started as execution gradually became ownership; shaping design direction, working directly with C-level stakeholders, and building the conditions for a design team to do their best work. I'm as comfortable setting strategy as I am getting into the details.
Today I focus on product design and product leadership together. I work closely with product managers and developers to make sure ideas are ambitious enough to matter and grounded enough to ship. I stay close to where the industry is heading; how AI is reshaping the way designers work, make decisions and fundamentally changing how products are built.

Nik is that guy! I've worked with him for years, since pretty early in my career, and he's still one of my favourite people to work with. A lot of what I know about product and UX/UI design I picked up from him.
